Dan Fenelon & Kadie Dempsey
"Birds of a Feather"
April 3 - May 24, 2015
Dan Fenelon & Kadie Dempsey's "Birds of a Feather" exhibit is unique for both artists in many ways. It is the first time that Dan Fenelon and Kadie Dempsey have exhibited their work together.
For Dan, it is a departure from the work that he has become known for. His older sketches serve as foundation for the gestural paintings of Morris County wildlife painted on top of them. His formal education at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the history of art through the ages and had a profound impact on his personal style. Fusing different ideas together has become the foundation of his art.
For Kadie, this is a return to creating and exhibiting art of her own. For several years she has helped artists and communities as the Director of Arts in Community at Morris Arts, a private, non-profit Arts agency in Morristown, NJ. Her previous work as a Documentary Photographer has been recognized for raising awareness for important social issues and in 2001 won an Iris Award of Merit.
